Turf Glendalough Cross 4.5″

Description

Glendalough, Co Wicklow.  Found in the 12th Century it has a cruxifixion and an ecclesiastic St Malachy on face.  Covered with interlace and fret patterns.  Reminiscent of 12th Century metalwork.  It remains one of the most picturesque sites in Ireland.  Recreated here in Ireland using 5000 year old Irish turf.
